Nicholas Miranda is a Partner at Levin Law, where he represents individuals and institutional clients in complex class actions and arbitrations against large corporations. His practice focuses on cybersecurity, consumer and investment fraud, cryptocurrency matters, and data privacy violations. He also opened the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Miranda is an accomplished first chair trial litigator with extensive government experience. Before joining Levin Law, he served for more than a decade as a Senior Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. During his tenure, he tried more than 40 cases as sole or lead counsel and represented the United States in nearly 1,000 additional matters. He conducted numerous cross jurisdictional, inter agency, and international investigations, and worked on some of the Office’s most sensitive and complex cybercrime, fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy cases. He also handled internal investigations and briefed and argued cases on appeal. His work earned multiple awards, including the Association of Assistant United States Attorneys Jack Evans and Vincent Caputy Award for Service in the Public Interest. He additionally served as Division Chief of the Victim Witness Division, where he helped support thousands of victims each year.
In addition to his service at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Miranda served on detail at the White House Counsel’s Office and worked as an attorney in the Supreme Court and Appellate practice group at Morrison and Foerster LLP.
Mr. Miranda earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Yale University and his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, where he served as Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal and Chair of the Latino Law Students Association. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Stanley Marcus on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
