Leland H. Belew is a Partner at Levin Law, P.A., working in the Chicago area. He represents consumers, employees, and investors in class actions, mass and individual arbitrations, and complex litigation against national and multinational corporations. His practice centers on holding companies accountable for defective products, deceptive business practices, unfair treatment of employees, and breaches of the terms they impose on their own customers.Over more than a decade of litigation, Mr. Belew has led class actions in federal and state court against multinational corporations, directing teams of attorneys and staff across multiple firms, as well as securing recoveries for wronged groups in mass arbitrations, and individual remedies for wronged employees. His appellate work includes a published California Court of Appeal decision on class certification.Before joining Levin Law, Mr. Belew was a Partner at Milberg, a national plaintiffs' class action firm, where he litigated consumer product defect, employment, contract, and constitutional claims in federal trial and appellate courts across the country. He was honored as Milberg's 2023 Attorney of the Year. Prior to Milberg, he began his career at Andrus Anderson LLP in San Francisco, litigating class and collective actions, mass and coordinated proceedings, and individual cases involving product liability, medical malpractice, and personal injury.Mr. Belew has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions (Plaintiffs) and Personal Injury Litigation, and was a finalist for Consumer Attorneys of California's Consumer Advocate of the Year.
